Collaboration between SSMHxRMHC xPDK SOFEA

Ist June 2025 – the 3 parties signed an MOU to collaborate on a pilot project for severely disabled children from PDK (Pusat Dalam Komuniti) Sofea to attend training sessions at SSMH.  The rationale is that the PDK’s role is to prepare children with learning disabilities to go to school when they turn 7 years old. However, several children with severe disabilities are not able to go to school at that age. Under the collaboration SSMH agreed to take in children from PDK Sofea for rehabilitation and training with the Therapy team. A total of 4 children were selected and they started at SSMH. Results are very encouraging with progress seen in the 4 children.
